The Brisbane City Cat (water taxi) is a lovely way to see Brisbane from the water it takes just over an hour to go all the way to the Queensland University and back. The closest City Cat terminal is Bretts Wharf Ferry Terminal.

RNA Showgrounds comprises a unique range of venues and outdoor green spaces. Events are staged throughout the year, extending from music festivals to trade shows, sporting and cultural events to intimate private functions.

The Brisbane Racing Club is Queensland's largest thoroughbred racing club with two racecourses in the Brisbane metropolitan area, Eagle Farm and Doomben. Each year the Club conducts approximately 96 race meetings in addition to hosting some of Brisbane's most prestigious functions and special events.

Albion Park Harness Racing Club is home to midweek and Saturday race meetings; it is renowned for its friendly atmosphere with easy viewing of the home straight and parade ring from the wide open lawns and grandstand.
